"After reading all the reviews on this resort, my son and I still decided to book it. Our time in Costa Rica was meant to spend days of exploring the country with activities away from the resort, so we can get to know the people, and also have restful days that we can enjoy. The resort was very clean the rooms were clean and comfortable. All of the staff are extremely nice. The food was pretty good to us. We never tasted anything bad. They overcooked steak at the buffet was the worst part of the foods. They had tons of food options and theme nights. They had great entertainment at this resort. Besides the buffet, they have four restaurants. My only complaint about this resort is you cannot make reservations unless you want to go and wait in line at 5 PM for a return time, or you’re basically not going to get in. After staying there for eight days and the staff seeing us try, we were able to get some accommodations made to enjoy three of the restaurants. If you’re looking for a place to relax, have the drinks and not worry about the food, enjoy a beautiful beach that also has snorkeling, kayaks, and paddle boards to use and the waterpark; then stay here. We met the most amazing people as well and made our trip so much fun!"

"Felt like we hit it out of the park at the resort. Super laid back and on one of the best and most beautiful beaches on the pacific side. Breakfast was great, bars had fun drinks, pool was spacious and great for the kids… and again, proximity and location to the beach was the highlight. Results were like the pictures and the staff was accommodating and friendly."

"Our stay was a great one! Stayed a week in June 2025. The staff really made it quite special. Three in particular were the bartenders we met, Bryan and Joaquin in the lobby bar were extremely friendly, kind, and welcoming on our first night and continued the exceptional service during our entire stay. Bryan went above and beyond to make first timers feel welcome to Costa Rica. The third was Yuediel at the pool bar. He was such a blast!!! He would greet people as they came in the area and would give the cheered goodbyes when his shift ended. He connected many guests at the bar in English and Spanish! He was the best atmosphere at the bar. He too, went above and beyond. One day they couldn’t offer a spicy guaro shot (highly recommend) the next day he made sure they were stocked! The property itself is beautiful with spectacular beach access. The food was themed each night, the Italian restaurant was wonderful. The other group of people that also deserve some attention are the entertainment staff. Unfortunately I didn’t get their names but it was two young men and young lady in particular during our stay she had some braids. They came to our table during dinner and invited all the guests to karaoke and man did they bring the lively atmosphere. They encouraged everyone and hyped everyone up when they sang. Highly recommend this resort. It’s my second time and I’ll be returning again!! "

"Awesome black sand beach. Friendly staff with star pool access staff going above and beyond to make the stay enjoyable. Lots of wildlife including monkeys and iguanas, which were cool to see every day. Dining options were all very decent though there was some confusion with reservations. Celebrating a birthday was wonderful with a fruit and chocolate tray as an added surprise. "

"The hotel rooms were very clean and simple but you don't need nothing more than that. The food and the services and the pool and common areas were exceptional. They even have breakfast and dinner and yoga , breathing and mindfulness classes included."

"Amazing location wonderful beach comfortable rooms. Weloved to be able to walk right onto the beach from my room. Right in the center of town very safe, it's very fair, nice. Every breakfast was fantastic."
