"We had a fantastic stay at Casa Tranquila. I can’t say enough positive things about this place. We traveled with our family (kids ages 7 and 9). The place was safe, clean, and comfortable for our family. The property is surrounded by 9’ stucco walls requiring a separate key to enter-we always felt safe and secure. The property has a feel like it’s your own private resort with the saltwater pool in the back, which was the perfect depth for our children. Plenty of beach towels were provided. Our kids enjoyed the boogie boards at the house as well. The outdoor Sonos system at the pool was a nice touch and we had fun just sitting outside and relaxing. It’s very easy to do at this house! The air conditioning kept the house cool and comfortable. The house is very quiet (with the exception of the howler monkeys, which we enjoyed seeing in the tree out front). It’s in a great location, only a few minutes drive to Samara and Playa Carrillo, in a safe neighborhood with lots of other nice homes. I would recommend 4wd to get up the steep gravel hill to get to the home. The kitchen had everything we needed to make several meals when we weren’t dining out in Samara. The place is very close to the zip lining place which was convenient. Louis was an incredible host and extremely welcoming and responsive to our requests. If you are looking for the perfect getaway in Samara, don’t hesitate to book this place! We will definitely be back!"

"We had a wonderful 6 night stay in mid-February and it was ideal for our family get-away (adult kids and partners). The house is wonderful, well maintained, and plenty of room for everyone. Besides the amazing views of Samara beach and the daily flyby of the macaws, parrots and other birds, we had regular visits from the iguanas, and howler monkeys. The location is quite quiet and a bit of an oasis to unwind after exploring the various beaches around Samara. The pool was outstanding, used a lot and cleaned regularly. Walking to town can be done, but not straightforward - we drove (rental) for dinner, groceries etc. Having Sylvia cook for us a couple of nights was great! Property manager (Leonie) was responsive in advance and made sure we were looked after if any questions. Suggestions for a few things that could be updated for added comfort - primary mattress, beach/pool towels, available beach chairs 6 vs 4. Overall was a great stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return."

"Following our experience with VRBO and Pura Vida Appartment, it appeared that some problems occured, mainly based on a wrong presentation of the actual situation. We made a reservation there through VRBO early in January 2024, which showed a magnificient place, three bedrooms, wonderfull environment, very nice photos of a modern looking construction... Let see 'step by step' the tale of this experience... -First, we proceed to the reservation with a credit card, which (to our great astonishment !) was immediately charged ! Nearly three months before the trip, which is obviously an inappropriate way to conduct fair business. Why VRBO tolerate this kind of very questionable practice ?... First problem noticed even before getting there. -Second: Instructions to get there... What a 'big mess' to find the place. Indications were simply totally confusing, so much that it tooks like nearly two hours to find the place in Samara, despite it's a fairly small town... The annoncement in VRBO mentioned Pura Vida Appartments, a place that was impossible to find, even with the best GPS tools ! In fact, this appartment was located directly in downtown at the 'Blue Iguana Hotel' (a name that never appeared anywhere in the indications!) Why ?... It would have been so much easier to mention the Blue Iguana, a well known place, easy to find !... -Third: After almost two long hours a local helped us to find it... There, we finally found a totally different place from the presentation shown on"

"Having been attracted by the numerous positive feedback comments about Libelula prior to booking the property for our own holiday, (and I am quite thorough in my research) I can now give my own thoughts; if you are considering booking this, you've found the right place. You will not be disappointed. It was a privilege to stay there. The amenities available to you are comprehensive, the configuration and location is perfectly idyllic, the diverse wildlife often on view within the garden itself a joy to behold. The owner and rental company were very attentive to our every need and responded to us in a very timely manner on any query we might have and the property is suitable for all ages. I'm now of an age where I do now have a bucket list of destinations I would like to go to. If ever anyone were to compile a bucket list of properties you should stay at before you die, Libelula would have to be on it. In short a dream home with a spectacular view. An absolute privilege to stay there. I very much hope i have the opportunity to return in the future."
