"Very friendly staff. Front desk workers were always so accommodating and helpful. Everyone on the property spoke both English and Spanish, so it was very easy to communicate with staff. The restaurants were always well staffed and offered delicious options. The parking lot attendant was very friendly and they guard your car 24/7. Never once felt unsafe on this resort. The semi-private beach was also beautiful. Thank you for the hospitality! "

"This property is amazing! Incredible awesome views including the best sunsets ever! Rooms were perfect for large groups/families. The bathrooms were fully stocked with towels, shampoo and shower gel. Outdoor space was our favorite place to be. Steps away from the ocean. You can spend your time kayaking, paddleboarding or just lounging in the water. Waves are great for body surfing only; which makes the beach perfect for families. Then go back to the pool for a cocktail. Or you can walk to Hemingway's for a drink and some snacks. I don't think we spent much time inside except to sleep. And sleeping to the sound of the waves was so peaceful. But the absolute best part of this property is the amazing STAFF! Gustavo, the cook, made memorable meals and was so accommodating. We had a gluten free person, a peanut allergy person and someone who hated raw onions. Gustavo and Moises went out of their way to make special meals if need be. They even made a separate bowl of Pico de Gallo without onions! Beatrice was amazing. She made a delicious lunch for us from leftovers the night before. And she went out of her way to care for one of our guests who didn't feel well. The concierge helped booked excursions before the trip and during the trip. Even the excursion staff were great! This was one of the most relaxing trips we've ever taken and we believe it was because of the wonderful staff and the location of the property. Book this place! You won't regret it."

"We stayed at a resort for a work event the first half of the trip and wanted a less touristy area for the second half. We got exactly what we wanted with this property! Penca Beach was a short walk to the end of the street and many restaurants at the other end. We enjoyed the back porch and loved listening to the wildlife.The owners and caretaker were very quick to communicate, yet we felt like we had the property to ourselves most of the time. What a wonderful visit. Would definitely recommend!"

"Amazing stay! Small little apartment but just enough for a quick stay! Everything was very clean, the pool was nice to have right at your doorstep and Susan and the rest of the staff were very nice and welcoming!"

"I have never have stayed right on the beach. With this vrbo, we did. Omar, the caretaker, was awesome. If we had any concerns, he was there to help us. It felt like we had the whole beach to ourselves. It was also a nice touch to have a mini-tent set up to keep us in the shade. This came in handy with Costa Rican hot sun. Would definitely return."

"We had the best stay ever. We hosted a very small wedding with our friends and the staff went above and beyond to help us with everything we needed. The house is in a great location with direct beach access and easy to walk to the little store and a few restaurants. The yard is spacious for families and activities and we had an iguana that would visit us daily. Arturo and the rest of the staff were very attentive to our last-minute requests. They were always there for us but not intrusive and they gave great recommendations. The chef services were delicious and they saved the leftovers for us to eat throughout the day. My husband forgot his wallet and Arturo drove it to the airport and we still had plenty of time to make our flight. He's our hero. We will definitely be back next year."

"My friends and I go on a group trip each year. There were 13 of us (all 30+) that stayed in the house for 6 nights and it was great! We rented golf carts to get around Potrero and Flamingo. It was easy to ride the roads in the area with a golf cart. The house is in walking distance to Hemingways and a few other restaurants and markets. It’s a quiet area at night, not too close to restaurants so you can hear everything, just a good close enough distance to walk. We felt extremely safe and everything was beautiful. This is a great house for large groups. The beach wasn’t crowded, the water is a lot flatter here than in Flamingo. 10/10 recommend staying in this house. I would be happy going back here with my family! Great house and great location! You can’t go wrong with staying in this house with your friends or family."

"Beautiful house, great location. Pool is awesome, Beach is perfect and private and walk into town! Loved every minute. Highlight is Rita, the chef. Cooked us fabulous breakfasts and dinners almost every day."
