"My son and I stayed at Desoto Beach Hotel for 3 nights. The room was very nice and clean. The beds were very comfy and we love the fact that we were a hop, skip and a jump from the beach. We enjoyed the beach every day that we were there even though it rained a bit. When the weather cleared and the sun came back out, we were out at the beach again. We will come back to Desoto Beach Hotel again as we come to Tybee as a quick getaway from Atlanta, Ga."

"For an affordable oceanfront property this place hits the mark. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel is an older hotel but they do an amazing job at keeping it up. Is it high end place? no limit your expectations. It’s a very nice clean affordable place to stay oceanfront. The breakfast is good and staff keep the area clean and the buffet full. "

"Our initial room assignment was dirty and had a fist-punch mark on the wall next to the sink. I don't think it was supposed to be rented out. You could tell it hadn't been cleaned in a while. We discussed it with the manager and was promptly moved to an upgraded, very clean, room with a kitchenette. That room was very nice. "I highly recommend this place if you want to stay on Tybee Island. It is right in the middle of shopping and restaurants and only one block to the beach. The staff is super friendly and the room was very clean. Yes it is an older hotel, but it has been completely renovated, so it feels new. Parking was super easy. They even let us check in early because our room was ready. I thought we might be in for a noisy night since we were right on the strip by the restaurants but it actually ended up...
