"Well our time is over in Costa Rica and at the Occidental Papagayo. Time for my review We actually stayed in 2 rooms when we were there the standard room over looking well basically nothing lol on the 2nd floor. The room is very nice The bed is really comfortable And you gets Iots of pillows LMAO the bathroom is spacious enough. So before we arrived I emailed the resort and told them my wife has issues climbing stairs and its her 60th birthday so if we could get something on main level and our daughter is also coming with her own separate room could we get something close together. I never heard back. When we checked in a was taken our rooms We went to our daughter's 2202 and wow wow wow Then to our room as I said before it was nice but the other "

"We had minor issues with AC being always on, and the thermostats not kicking in. There was also a clog in the AC unit and cause leaking from the ceiling. The road to the resort needs work. There is a 10 minute stretch that’s really nerve wracking if you are coming in for the first time when it’s dark, and you worry about the damage to the vehicle. Other than that, it’s a great place and does deserve all the 5-stars. "

"Beautiful hotel in the most amazing place. A calm beach that combines trees and lots of green with fauna and beach. If you like water activities or jungle experiences but also if you just want to relax in the pool or beach this is a great place to consider. I went with kids and family. Loved it!!!"

"I loved this property and would definitely stay again if I visit this part of Costa Rica. The buffet menu changed every day so you could try different dishes for breakfast, lunch, dinner. The restaurant had a set menu but the options were delicious. The staff were friendly, the facilities were clean, there’s A LOT of wildlife. In terms of entertainment on property (I stayed during the off season) there’s two pools that play music, a gym, a game room/volleyball net, and a pool table in the lobby. I would recommend booking an excursion for at least one of the days you’re there which can be done by AMSTAR who’s on the property or on the beach with another company. "
