No wifi, no warm water, stay elsewhere.
"If you're visiting from far away like the United States or on a special trip, I'd recommend staying at the Blue Apple Beach Club instead. You don't want to cheap on the little stuff on a vacation. The room was advertisied as having Wifi, and it did not have Wifi or cell signal. Youll have to walk by the pool area to make calls. Also the bathroom has black mold around the sink, and the shower water temperature doesn't get warm or hot. Those basic comforts make a big difference on a vacation, so I wouldn't recommend if you're on a nice family vacation. They charge for water bottles and the water isnt drinkable. The food options are more limited.
After you've sprung for all the other travel arrangements to get here, just get a nicer hotel. If you're from nearby and could return whenever, the staff are kind and the island is beautiful.

"Este hotel en una isla es el lugar perfecto para desconectar de la ciudad y disfrutar de la tranquilidad frente al mar. Aunque durante el día la música suena fuerte en algunas áreas, hay lugares más tranquilos para relajarse. El servicio es excelente y, aunque las opciones gastronómicas son limitadas, la comida es de buena calidad. Las áreas públicas son lindas y acogedoras, ideales para pasar el tiempo, y las cabañas son amplias, limpias, bien equipadas y cuentan con una terraza privada muy agradable. Un excelente destino para disfrutar con amigos o pareja, aunque no es muy adecuado para familias."

"Truly wonderful hosts in Uriel and Paola. Uriel escorted us to a nearby restaurant for a delicious Colombian dinner. True Baru neighborhood, in the center where local staff for the beachfront hotels and restaurants live. If you want a genuine Baru experience, this would be the ideal place to stay"

"Fantastic staff, comfortable and cool room and bed, delicious food, gorgeous beach and sea views. Oswaldo was wonderful - when my suitcase was lost on arrival he helped me take a boat to a place to buy cheap clothes. "
