"There is a lot to like about this hotel-the location and the lobby and courtyard. It was so nice to be able to pick up food and then sit in the courtyard. That being said, it is an old hotel with few recent improvements. Our room was big but dated. We had a toilet that didn’t stop running. The shower was small and it just didn’t feel fresh. Would I stay here again? Absolutely if the price was right. But it’s not the latest and greatest if you’re looking for that. There was a fridge in the room that could only be used for their drinks they were selling you. So they offered to bring a fridge up to our room..kind of crazy to not have this as a standard. The staff was responsive when we asked for things like the missing hair conditioner but it just feels like little details are not taken care of initially."

"To be clear, I would be fine staying here again, especially given the price and awesome location. The downsides/things they could improve on are: 1) shower head had some significant mold/mildew and room was clean, but not as clean and maintained as it could have been. For example, there was a “vape” under the bed, a couple hairs in the shower, a crumb/piece of trash in the pullout sofa when pulling it out, but otherwise very clean, 2) shower/tub could be slightly better maintained with cracks, etc., blankets provided for sofa pullout are the most uncomfortable ever (like a rough old worn towel), and they really need to update the elevators, 3) speaking of the elevators—if there is a conference during busy times, even the “secret” service elevator becomes unusable and the main elevators just give error messages. Usually the elevators are just fine, but this is a complaint guests have had for years it appears and I experienced it first-hand and had to walk up 34 flights of stairs to my room and we ended up a few minutes late for dinner—not terrible since I am in shape but there are perks to forgoing to view and staying on a slightly lower level in case you need to take the stairs! 4) no coffee maker in room and no microwave in room or available near ice machine. We did get a mini fridge and a sofa pullout in the King Sky View which was great though, and again, despite complaints I would be fine staying here again for the price/location! no coffee maker in"

"Stayed here with my toddler son and everything was great. They provided a crib for us that was very comfy, the mini-fridge in the room was helpful but only for light snacks (didn’t use it for milk as an example), and housekeeping was always so kind and sweet (shout out to Naomi). Great location and enjoyed it for our trip to the big city!"

"You can't beat the location and price. If you don't need a fancy place and are OK with shared bathrooms, I think this is a perfect spot. The gym is also a great bonus. Visiting NYC, I'm not there for the hotel. It's just to sleep and shower and I think this is a great option. Central Park West also is an ideal location. Next to transit, Columbus Circle and Lincoln Center. 2-3 stops from most of the shows too. I'm likely to stay here every time I visit solo."
