"We didn’t mind our stay, but there are things that should be given some attention. The shower is very tight and toilet is in a very tight space. So Do away with the closet and expand The rooms are clean and staff was helpful when we needed anything. The beach view once you make it over the dune was awesome! lol Very clean and quiet!"

"The deck is dangerously unsafe. We had 2 young children that liked to look at the many turtles. The railing is wobbly and not safe, some deck floor boards were raised and brittled. House was clean and well stocked. "

"Perfectly located to visit anywhere in the OBX. The ocean view from the 4th floor was amazing. The room was clean, spacious and had plenty of everything. The housekeeping was superb and the front end staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Will definitely book again next year."

"The Whale Cottage is the most outstanding property we have stayed at. The hosts are incredibly helpful and thoughtful. Traffic caused us to get there much later than expected, but it was easy to get in and we immediately felt at home. They had water bottles, kids cups, and a bag set out for us! They supplied extra toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, hand soap, dish soap, and even feminine hygiene products. Everything was super clean, extra towels and beach towels were already available to us. The beds were very comfortable! The entertainment center was packed with an array of games, kids toys in the trunk, foosball and an arcade game downstairs, and outdoor games under the deck. Our family enjoyed a bike ride through the calm neighborhood, and frequently walked across the street to the beach to collect sea shells. Jose and Jennifer recommended some fantastic places to eat that were very close by. We can’t wait to come back! Thank you for sharing your amazing house!"

"We went during our spring break 4/6-4/10 which was our mistake, the pool wasn't open which we did not know until we got there because of off season, and there was a wind advisory for 3 out of the 4 days we were there and being so early April it was pretty chilly. Other then the weather, the rental was great. Nice and clean, and seaside rentals were so nice answered all our questions. I would book again, maybe next time closer to May/June."

"I can honestly say was a 10/10 . The house was just perfect for my family of 10 plus 2 dogs . The house had everything you needed the hot tub was warm along with the pool. There a grocery store across the street HomeGoods TJ Maxx down the street.. what more could you ask for Lady's. This house was the cleanest house we have ever stayed did not need to clean a thing at all . You rent a house and when you walk in it looks clean but then you look closer and you see piles of dust on the light bulbs hanging over island or table . This place was clean !!!! Bedding towels were all pristine. There so much to do in this area we will be coming back to finish . We felt safe at all times and if I had a question I would call and my question was answered with kindness before and while staying at house . That week went by so fast and honestly the 8 hour drive was not to bad lots to look at . You truly will not have any issues staying here . "
