"Nice hotel with friendly staff Busy pub & restaurant- great breakfast included in the cost of the stay Beautiful village with lots of history Lots of dogs staying & visiting with diners No lift (elevator) but they carried my bags up the stairs for me so that wasn't an issue They give you a key to the outer door so if you're out late (like I was for a wedding in a nearby location), you just hold a key fob to the door & you have 24 hour access They kept my bags free of charge so I could stroll along the river Tyne after checkout & had a couch for me to relax on as I waited for my train - gave me free wifi to upload my trip pictures too Great place to visit"

"One of the best equipped and nicest cottages we have stayed in. The back garden is totally secure for dogs, the front garden would be too but possibly the front wall could be jumped depending on the size of dog. Loved being there really relaxing."
