Beautful setting, gorgeous views and added benefit of having breakfast, dinner and drinks in a respectfully restored historical castle. The food was amazing, tasty, well portioned and plenty of choice. Staff were lovely and attentive. Added bonus of a castle tour was very welcomed.

What a fantastic place to stay! Peaceful, historic, and exceptionally well managed and staffed. There are stairs, but this minor bother is offset by the overall quality of this fine establishment.

A fabulous experience for my husband and I treating our 11 year old great nephew to an exciting stay in a real Castle. Staff were wonderful from Reception check in, greeters and Restaurant staff to Reception check out. We experienced the added excitement of a Langley Castle tour learning more about history along with rooftop visit to Chapel and wonderful views. Excellent.

Yes, its an historic castle, but one that owns its current form to its restoration (from a ruin) in the early 20th century. We stayed in a Superior Room (1st floor) in the "Castle View" block - formerly the castle stables. Large, comfortable and very clean with a good bathroom. Perhaps a little too warm, but window and skylight open for ventilation. Although we did not choose the tasting menu, dinner was fabulous and wine by the glass excellent. Breakfast too was great (I particularly enjoyed the Craster kippers). All the staff we met during our stay were polite, helpful and friendly.

The room was cramped, room 28 , I think it must be the worst room in the hotel , you are not in the main building so have walk about 5 minutes for an evening meal and for breakfast. There is no castle or garden view , just a view of the back. Breakfast was okay but the service was very slow , you are basically paying a fortune to stay in this historic castle building so if that floats your boat then great, however I wouldn’t say the food or service is anything special , certainly not for the price you pay

From the moment we arrived everyone at the castle was very friendly and welcoming. The castle is gorgeous! We stayed in the De Lucy room. It was lovely - exactly as pictured on the website. The castle guardian bears are adorable! What a delightful idea! The atmosphere at the castle is exceptional; we were only sorry that our stay couldn’t have been longer. I would recommend this property to anyone.

We were very disappointed that our room was not actually in the castle - but 100yds away in an outbuilding. Infact only 9 of the rooms are actually in the castle. This was not clear at booking. The room was reasonably clean- but we had no Tv remote and the bathroom was looking pretty tired- needed redecorating. Evening meal was very nice and a tour of the castle itself was amazing.

We were a little surprised that we were not staying in the actual castle to start with but the room we were allocated was brilliant and had all the odd/old characteristics that the castle would have had. The staff were very attentive - could not be faulted. Would certainly recommend.
