"Nice hotel to stay in Union Square. Could use some love to some of the public areas - carpeting, lobby furniture, etc but room was clean. Option for food but no lobby bar. Very friendly staff. "

"Hi, I stayed in your hotel last night and the room had no working air conditioning. The room was extremely hot and uncomfortable, and I attempted to contact the front desk multiple times with no response, despite being told it is staffed 24 hours. I booked this room expecting air conditioning as part of the stay. Given the conditions and lack of support, I’m requesting a partial refund or compensation. Please let me know how you can resolve this."

"King George Hotel is a GEM for everyone. We saw couples, singles and families here. Located walking close to everything worth seeing in downtown. The hotel staff is friendly and professional and the rooms are clean and comfy. The area was surprisingly safe, you will definitely see a few colorful people but the hype does not the match reality that the area is a bustling area were please live, shop and work. I will definitely stay with here again A+++++++++++"

"We had a jr suite and it was fantastic. Will stay here again if attending the Civic center or Orpheum. Check in and Check out is a breeze. No parking at the hotel."

"Pros - close to BART, easy access to a parking garage, and close enough to the Embarcadero. Cons - A little run down, no a/c, and the bed was pretty uncomfortable. Also, Union Square used to be vibrant, now with so many stores closed there is really no reason to stay in that area - also close to the tenderloin, which at night is not the best place to be."
