"Room was clean. Staff very helpful and friendly. Bar facility was lacking in drink selection for ladies. A cocktail menu would have been great. The decor is outdated, it would have been a fantastic place in its heyday. Dinner meals were a little average but the dessert was delicious. Overall we had a comfortable nights stay."
"First we were given a room that hadn't been cleaned but this was quickly sorted and we were switched to another room. However, it was so damp as to be unfit for use, particularly as my wife is asthmatic. The damp odour and poor atmosphere both in the room and the corridor meant we decided to leave and went to an another hotel. The evidence of damp was so obvious as to beg the question why the hotel management felt it appropriate to book out the room."
"I have visited over 170 countries. This castle is in my top two or three most wonderful places I have ever visited. The castle is amazing but the main reason i loved this place so much is because the staff were beyond perfect. They made our stay something I will never forget. The food and wine could not have been more amazing. The live piano played at dinner was priceless. I will fondly remember this place for the rest of my life."
"I so want this place to succeed! It’s in the most picturesque village, but needs some TLC after a string of management changes. New team comes in August. The bedrooms are clean, small, very comfortable and well designed. Current staff are lovely, but they’re leaving in 2 weeks."

"As the name states this is an old inn. Room was decorated accordingly. Comfy beds with a reasonable sized ensuite. Evening meal was lovely and reasonably priced. Breakfast was good and cooked to order. All staff that we met were friendly."
"We recently stayed at this newly renovated boutique hotel and absolutely loved it! The interior design is gorgeous, and the entire place was impeccably clean—we had zero complaints about our room or the service.
The only downside was the breakfast, which felt a bit too pricey for what it was. We ended up skipping it and grabbing a great breakfast en route instead. It would be wonderful if they offered a more reasonably priced breakfast option in the future.

"Lovely hotel. Beautiful setting with an amazing view. The reviews we read before we stayed, said the staff were wonderful and friendly. Reviews often say this about hotels and we were just expecting the usual professional staff. However it must be said the staff were superb, stood out and had a major positive impact on our stay making it so enjoyable. The evening dinner very good. The breakfasts excellent. Definitely a place to stay."

"Staying at this hotel was a last minute thing due to a mix up at our original booking and I have to say it was a godsend! We arrived 45 minutes after booking and were welcomed by friendly staff and a very clean room. The location was great and we went on a bike ride around the very quaint village and down by the river. I would definitely stay here again as it’s a great village hotel with great staff."
