The property was seeped in history. We stayed in room 3, the Kings room. A lovely compact room, spotless with lovely little touches such as a great selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate, a fresh little bottle of milk, a comfy bed, feather duvet, black out curtains, great shower and toiletries. The breakfast was fantastic. George, our host gave us helpful information and free tickets to Raby Castle. Wow, what a fabulous castle. The rooms were stunning and thd guides very knowledgeable. Wonderful stay.

Cannot recommend this hotel more highly. Could not fault a thing. Will definitely return if this way again. In fact it is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. And we have stayed in a lot.
