"My husband has been going up to London for Merchant Navy Day for a number of years now, and has always stayed at City Stay for at least the past 12 of them. Classed as a budget hotel it is more than adequate for his needs. 2 minutes from the tube to Kings Cross Station it is ideally situated. The rooms are clean and the bathroom is a reasonable size, but being an older building the stairs to the upper floors are not the widest! There is a small friendly lively pub nearby with tables outside if...

"Is a good place but those sheets I was hitching there in the night. I wouldn’t trust those sheets on the bed . Privacy zero it’s a hostel what you expect . Receptionist where great but the facilities look broken and hold it’s a fast and convenient place for just 1 night, if you spend more than that it becomes a depressive place . I don’t really know how people live there for months . "

"Valentino at the Dover Castle really helped a lot, super friendly guy who helped me get a 3 night stay last minute, due to evacuation of another hotel. He was very helpful and very positive, hard to find in a guy in London. So a massive thank you to him and his hard work there."

"Fantastic find! It’s a pub rather than a hotel, but the room was comfortable with tea and biscuits etc supplied. It was a shared bathroom which wasn’t a problem. The staff were fantastic and couldn’t do enough to help. I didn’t find it noisy despite it being Kareoke on the Friday night. Parking wasn’t on site but I didn’t have a problem parking just behind the pub in a small car park. A stone’s throw from bars and restaurants. Would definitely return. Thank you for a great stay!"

"The one slight downside was the comms surrounding the entry because it wasn’t clear that you had to go into the restaurant around the corner for access at first and I didn’t receive an email as was stated in the check in instructions. As for the room itself, no complaints. For the price we weren’t expecting the Earth but the room was clean, the bed was comfy and the bathroom facilities were decent. There was the green security light as I’d seen in a couple of other review but it didn’t bother...
