"We enjoyed our stay at the Hammets Hotel. The staff was very friendly. We arrived into Newport a lot earlier than planned and the hotel staff was kind enough to allow us to check in early which was great. If you are looking to travel to Newport. The Hammets is right in the perfect location and it’s very close to so many things in the area. I would definitely stay here again. "

At night, there is a fire pit to enjoy with other guests. The staff is friendly and helpful. As a woman traveling with her dog, I felt safe and well cared for. "The Pell was an unexpected wonderful surprise. Very tastefully decorated, very nice staff and very spacious rooms. The beds were comfy, the bartender we saw nightly was amazing and there were some nice places to stretch your legs and meet others. We do wish the room coffee was better and the shower would have had shelves for personal toiletries or a stand in the shower, but otherwise we have no complaints! We would happily stay here again. "

The manager (owner?) told us that they would be doing a complete renovation, probably next year, which explains a few things. "I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel! The room was clean and the common areas were too! House keeping was mopping the hallways & elevator… very clean. Also maintenance was taking care of the trash and friendly ..No frills but a decent place to stay.. close to casinos and shopping. I have stayed there before and will again! "
