"It was excessively loud and obnoxious at night: There are several bars in this area, and obnoxious, drunken singing seems to be some sort of national pastime, or a competition of some sort. One night, I didn’t sleep for even 5 minutes. Other than that, the property is good."

My grandson and I shared a private room for two. the cleanliness and security of the place are excellent. Staff are friendly. The location is unbeatable. The little square that it is on directly is very nice, with a great bar / restaurant right across the street. And it is just a few hundred meters from the Royal Mile and very convenient to the Waverly rail station so it is...

I had a private room with shared bathroom and the room was a decent size and the bathroom was very clean. The shared kitchen was modern, clean, and had utensils, dishes, and cookware, as well as a fridge to store food. "

"Great location for exploring Edinburgh, city centre is easily walkable. Arrived late due to transport issues and host was very accommodating. Room was downstairs so no windows, but was clean and a nice place to stay in. Private bathroom wasn’t en suite which wasn’t an issue, but I feel like this could have been made clearer when booking. Other than that, great price for a very convenient location. "
