"First off, staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was ideal and close to essential tourist subways. Excellent coffee served there. Only two negatives was, checks ins could be anytime of the day or night. Which really left me exhausted the night before leaving japan and on other days. . And a problem I noted in a previous hostel, pillows can't be washed so previous sweat stains evident from previous guests, when you sweat, the smell is released. So sorry as the place was great. "

"I really enjoyed my stay here! the room was simple, a bed and a desk. It also had somewhere to hang a couple jackets. It was perfect for what I wanted/needed. It was walkable to subway stations and shopping. The community was quiet as well. I walked back late at night solo and never felt unsafe. I loved the social room downstairs, and that it had a washer/dryer. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. "

"I stayed here for a week in February and I would likely stay here again - just knowing that the breakfast that is supposed to be included is a stack of Starbucks cards, $1,000 yen for each night you're staying. The shared dorm featured guests of all ages, not just the college/party aged crowd, and there was a mix of foreign tourists as well as locals in the 6-bunk landing where my top bunk was. Laundry worked well - make sure to bring your own detergent, there is none available in the laundry...

"The bathroom stinks really bad! It looks kind of clean but the smell is just unacceptable. When i checked in they there was a mug with mold in my capsule! If you are planing on saving some money and eating at the hostel don't count on it. There is no kettle nor microwave to make your food warm. "

"1 Night ¥1980 Hotel is everything you could ask for and more out of a hotel with the lower nightly rate you pay. The staff were very friendly and accommodating (coming from someone who doesn’t speak nearly any Japanese). The dorm areas had cleaning staff going through everyday ensuring garbages were emptied, bathrooms, floors, etc.., were clean. Only a 5 minutes walk to Iriya station so very easy to get around Tokyo. "Overall we had a bad experience. The way the hostel is set up, people staying in the private rooms had to travel through the space where the individual were located. The space itself was very small so you could hear EVERYTHING very clearly. There was a family staying in the private room with a small child so whenever they left their room to go to the bathroom the child would scream and shout. "Really great facilities, comfortable beds, and two great common areas to meet other travellers. Food drinks were delicious and the staff were super friendly with great recommendations. It is a bit further out from the main cities of Shinjuku and Shibuya but super close to the metro so location was still good (and way cheaper than anything in the main cities).
