"Breakfast was great. It was so nice to not need to think about breakfast our first few days in the country. We also mingled with other travelers during breakfast. The location was easy to get to and from. The mattresses are firmer than we preferred, but were in good shape and hard mattresses seem to be the norm in Tokyo. The room size was as we expected and worked well for our group of 3 in our price range. The only negative item that came up unexpectedly was that the luggage forwarding couldn’t forward to a Yamato Transport location, only other hotels and airports. The move to our next location would have been much smoother if we’d known to plan time to take that portion of luggage to a nearby convenience store."

"Small, spotlessly clean and well designed rooms with very comfortable beds would be tight for more than one American. Free access to onsan bath a plus. Breakfast is mediocre and you need to reserve in advance. Elevators during peak periods are often crowded and slow. A good value but be prepared for elevators. "

"Room was clean and cute. Would benefit to have more laundry machines. The staff was wonderful with helping with any issues. "

"The location of the Richmond Hotel is superb. It has a Uniqlo right in front, it's located next to Hoppy street, with many restaurants and small bars, and just a short walk away from Senso-ji Temple. Rooms are comfortable and clean. There's a nice restaurant in the lobby. They have washing machines. "

"Everything was clean! Appreciated staff spoke English. The breakfast starts at 7 am which is awesome since many places don’t open till around 10."

"In short, I found there are good and not so good things here. I may stay again but only if my next trip doesn't require locker. The good: It's good for the price. Location is best if you like Asakusa. Bed was comfy and I slept well every night. The not so good: Maybe it's because of the cheap price, several basic amenities were not initially provided. Towels, slippers, etc are available for rent. It was quite sueprising to hear when the staff explain us to this point, even the staff herself was reluctant to say these things. But eventhough they're cheap to rent, they still disappear/stolen. I went in for shower, left my slipper in front of the bathroom, stolen. Two of my friends hung their towels in front of their bed, woke up in the morning and they disappear. The bad: no locker for your belonging at all"
