"This Hostal Gala is a perfect stay to visit and walk around the center of Madrid, close to everything! Since it is a hostal, don't expect to find conditions like in a hotel. "The accommodations are simple but clean. Excellent location very near very good restaurants, and a metro station is barely a 5 minute walk from the nearest metro station (Tribunal). The only drawback is that one must walk up a couple flights of steps to enter the property which can be rough with lots of luggage."

"This place was good to hole up for a couple days and rest. It's a 20 minute bus + 30 minute train from anything worth seeing as a tourist so if you hope to see Madrid this is not the place. It's in an industrial area and the only place for miles around to eat is the hotel bar/ restaurant across the street. Great staff but not great food. No view from the room and a tiny tv like a laptop screen. For €33 a night it was worth having a private room if you wanna get out of hostels for a bit. One...

"This was by far the worst hostel I’ve ever stayed in. The posting is very misleading as the hostel doesn’t look anything like the photos provided. There is no signage or indication of the hostel from the street. You have to knock on a door and you’re let into what looks like someone’s personal kitchen.
