"Great breakfast and close to Lake Windermere"

"Our stay was great, no issues there my problem the car park, i called the reception at 7am to say i needed my car we were checking out at 745 to be told there wasn't anyone available to move the other cars until later on, which meant i had to leave my car in the carpark and get a taxi to the dance venue and another back costing me extra money which i hadn't budget into my weekend! Plus the extra time getting back to the hotel at the end of a busy day! Xx"

"The Imperial Hotel is a beautiful building with plenty of character and charm from years gone by. However, it is now in need of some upgrades and refurbishment. Our room was a good size, but it felt quite tired and dated nice sea from our room,On the positive side, the breakfast was very good, and the bar was a lovely place to relax. With a little modernisation, this hotel could truly return to its former glory."

"Despite hearing the contrary, found everything absolutely fine, my room was clean, staff were excellent, buffet breakfast had enough choices in my opinion. OK, so the tea bags in the room were not very nice & the communal decor could do with a bit of modernisation, but that’s trivial & didn't affect a positive review."

"It is a lovely property on a great location. It works like a well oiled machine until you ask for something out of the ordinary. Porridge made with normal milk was too challenging I felt. Yes they would be showing the England match - so we cancelled our booking elsewhere. Then they didn’t show it."
