"This is a clean place with diligent owners. Modern fixtures, nice tc and fridge - no problems with the room. There is a nice diner in the adjoining parking lot, which was convenient for me on this trip, so I would say that's the best of the "amenities." Two considerations people should know about: the water doesn't smell great - it's a bit sulphury, though the bathroom is clean and without mineral stains, etc. Second, the main road is right in front of the motel, and the insterstate just a few years further away. Road noise sometimes bothers me, and this was tolerable just the same. When they serviced my room between nights, they noticed I'd taken all my things and actually called to be sure I was returning. (I was caring for a sick loved one, and just staying prepared for anything.) I took this as a nice sign that they were observant and minding what goes on in the place. Not luxurious, but if it's convenient, it is certainly clean enough to shower, crash, and get a good night's sleep."

"Each individual unit has its own parking space, there is a nice courtyard between the individual rooms, the staff is nice, the place is cleaner than most places we’ve stayed and only has some minor cosmetic improvements to be made. "We absolutely loved our stay! The cabin was charming, cozy, and set on truly beautiful, whimsical grounds. The stream, hammocks, fire pit, hot tub, and natural surroundings made it a peaceful and memorable setting—perfect for our cabin bachelorette weekend.The cabin was exceptionally well stocked with coffee, tea, salt, pepper, cooking oils, plenty of blankets, Turkish hot tub towels, hot tub-safe glassware, and tons of games and puzzles. It was also incredibly dog-friendly, with dog bowls and a dog bed provided. It really felt like Lori had thought of everything a guest might need.The hosts were wonderful. Lori was incredibly helpful months before our stay when I had issues with the VRBO booking process. During our stay, our Wi-Fi was knocked out by an offsite issue at the pole, and Lori and Dave were extremely responsive and did everything they could to expedite service restoration. They were thoughtful, communicative, and also provided great restaurant and activity recommendations.A few practical notes: the loft twin is a true twin (not a twin XL), so taller guests may find their feet hang off the end. One bed may also be a tight squeeze for two adults. Also, although there are two showers listed, one is a handheld shower in a clawfoot tub—totally functional, but worth knowing for larger groups.Overall, a beautiful, thoughtful, character-filled property. We would absolutely recommend it!"
