"The room was very clean. We had an issue with our safety deposit box when we got there, but the staff was easy to contact and very quick to resolve the problem. Staff are very knowledgeable about the area and very helpful in booking activities. The included breakfast was delicious, so were the 2 dinners at the restaurant. Very friendly staff."

"We stayed in the only apartment. It. Was across the street from the rest of the hotel. OVery spacious. One l large bedroom with a queen size bed, living room with record player and a few old records, a sofa/ sleeper, open dining area, and kitchen with tableware, a few pots and pans, tableware… No dishrags or drying mat. Very cozy The staff friendly and helpful. Great home made breakfast. Great view all the way to the Atlántico 0cean. Very enjoyable stay. Great soda and convenience store next...

"The hotel was excellent and the trails on site were amazing. We saw a roving pack of coati"

"We had a great stay at Valle Escondido. Our room was very clean and the view was great. We got to see a lot of wildlife right by the building we were in because the resort was less busy in the rainy season, and we got lucky with the weather. We really enjoyed our night hike on the trails on the property - only wish it were longer! Overall, a great stay. Food was good although variety is a bit limited in the off season."

"There was construction on and in the building...in the middle of afternoon they started to jackhammer in the adjacent room and it went on for an hour. Staff was not helpful and nothing was offered in exchange to the disturbance Checking out there was a 260$ charge from someone on the billing they took it off when I complaint. Not to recommend- too expensive for what is offered"

"Muy buen hotel y a buen precio"

"Great breakfast in the morning. Clean hotel. You can book excursions through the hotel with ease."

"We stayed for three nights. The rooms were spacious, clean, with comfortable beds. The staff is amazing (I’d like to call out Adonis who is part of the dining/bar staff) and very helpful. The breakfast is also really nice. It is conveniently located a short walk from the town center. Overall, ticked all the boxes."

"The staff was super nice. Breakfast was good. This is a budget friendly hotel in a great location, walking distance to downtown. We did the Monteverde coffee tour: it was super instructive. We also recommend Choco Cafe: the food was sooo delicious!"

"Great experience here. Only reason for the 4 star overall was because the price is high for what you get, the free breakfast was very limited due to the season we went and the jacuzzi’s were under maintenance so couldn’t be used."

"Garden style"

"Great rustic vibe, we saw a lot of wildlife right outside out door"

"Amazing room and amazing staff. So very helpful and informative!"
