The grounds are well maintained, the breakfast service was great and the staff was friendly. Just across the street are some decent restaurants and a grocery store. It's a short 2-3 block walk to the town square. "

"Sende was extraordinary. We loved our quiet cottage in the forest but also being able to access town in a short walk. The restaurant was delicious and the staff was pleasant. We were excited to experience Monteverde but hadn’t done much planning before arriving. The staff helped us coordinate tours and all their recommendations were great. "

"Me and my partner travelled from London England. Beautiful accommodation with stunning grounds. Bed was very comfortable and staff were very attentive to detail. They gave us extra pilllows, an abundance of towels and even gave us a fully stocked mini bar that was free for our use. Loved my time there and will definitely be recommending to others. "

However, take into consideration that the property is a 3-hour drive from the airport and the hotel does not provide transportation (costs an additional $USD200 for private transportation from the airport). "Very nice staff. Small grounds with great views of Volcano. Boutique size place, maybe only 10 rooms and nice but small pool deck and 4 hot springs. Great breakfast, very convenient in and out location with a car. Not a fancy big resort place but was absolutely fine and budget friendly, would recommend no problem. Other "grand" volcano hot spring resorts were actually sold out so I picked this one and was very happy, and was lower cost overall with a great breakfast and very friendly staff....
