"Great location, lovely property, very helpful staff & good gym/ health club . Would recommend! Anne ( Surrey/ London)."

"1 bed appt, perfect for my needs. Only quibble was sofa. Nice balcony over looking courtyard. Spa facility (pool, jacuzzi, steam room etc) was great, very clean and well run. Its a shame the restaurant wasn't running but as I had an appt with a kitchen it wasn't really a problem. Small shop on site open for 2 hrs each evening, and a temporary bar above the spa. Its a bit in the sticks but only 20 mins drive from Bideford. All the staff were friendly and helpful."

"Fabulous clean lodge in beautiful location"

"The beds were far too soft, the base had springs rising up in it and was stained, looked years old. I shared a superior twin room with a friend for one week, the friend who I was with had to put the mattress on the floor after the first night due to back ache, there was no provision for a new base. By the end of the week my neck and shoulders were painful. Apart from this the staff were helpful, the room and hotel was clean, the view from our sea view room could not have been better, breakfast...

"Great location in Newquay. Walkable to water and great restaurants."

"Amazing view and location. Unique property with very interesting history. Good pizza. Owner has somewhat troubling history (conspiracy theorist, Brexit supporter, etc) that may be offensive to some."

"I recently stayed at this hotel in Newquay and had a wonderful experience. The location was perfect for exploring the local area, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout my visit. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area and look forward to staying here again in the future."

"All it said it was it was well done. Harbour view room could could stare at it all day"

"The bathroom shower did not have a shower mat and the wet surface in the bath made the shower too slippery for my wife to use."

"We had an excellent couple of nights stay at St Mellion in one of the cottages which are so well equipped. All of the staff were super helpful - especially Jo on reception who went above and beyond to sort a few things out for us - thank you. We will be back."

"There was nothing to like it was dirty windows was broken stained carpets had to ask for towels no in the room the quilt cover had stains on and the lift did not work tried other hotels but most was full"

"Room was lovely, staff were friendly"

"Very well located to walk into to town or the beach. The staff were lovely and very helpful."

"Positives: The bed was extremely comfortable and the bedding and towels were immaculate. The shower was a great temperature, albeit on the small size. The view of the bay from my balcony was unbelievably beautiful. I’ve never woken to a better view. The staff were friendly and my luggage was carried to my room. The check in and check out was fuss-free. I believe there is parking available, though I used the long-stay carpark, just opposite. Negatives: the rooms are VERY dated and in need of...

"This was a great place to stay. Close walk to town and Pendennis castle. I have heard many places with 'old world charm' and this definitely fits the description. Loved the decor and history of the hotel."

"We had a superior sea facing suite, but on entrance we were disappointed and unsure if we had been given the correct room. It was located on the first floor and at the end of the main building. At first sight it all looked great but soon it became apparent that more care is required. Dents in floor, old, sagging furniture, balcony floor stained, a very small tv in the lounge, just a general feel. The suite was very spacious and with a great and fully equipped kitchen, including dishwasher and...
