Hilton Garden Inn Dana Point Doheny Beach

"My room had everything I needed to enjoy my three night stay. There was a generously sized mini fridge and a microwave in the room. There were drawers to put my clothes in. There was a desk with plugs on top to work. There was a very nice shower with good water pressure. All of the valet staff, especially CJ and Jon, were very helpful. I wanted to let the front desk staff know that there are no more bike rentals next to Doha Café across the street. A couple of employees at the hotel seemed to think it was still there. Just FYI. I was a little sad that when I first walked in the hotel, there was a male bartender behind the bar on the ground floor. I smiled at him, and he responded with “we’re closed.” I thought it would be more hospitable to reply with “good evening” especially since I had been in the hotel a few seconds. I clarified with him that I was just smiling at him and I did not want anything from him. The rooftop restaurant and bar are special with a gracious server, I did not eat or drink anything, but I looked at the menu and the prices seemed reasonable and it’s a lovely space with a fire pit and little café tables with a view of the ocean beyond the trees at Doheny State Park. There was a strong mechanical buzzing sound with a vibration coming from my bathroom area the entire time. It low key disrupted my nervous system. I don’t recommend 349 if that kind of noise bothers you. Overall, I recommend this hotel. It had everything for a comfortable stay."

"The coastal house was extremely beautiful and you could tell that detail was put in to creating a lovely environment for guests. It's close to the beach and staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There is a free pastry breakfast included. The original listing said that you had to pay for breakfast, but it was free when we got there. We had a beautiful patio with a an outdoor fireplace and an outdoor sunbathing area. The property is well maintained with beautiful flowers fire pits, and water fountains. The products in the bath room for guests to use were high-end quality (shampoos, lotions, and soaps). There was a really cute record player in the room with records, which was a nice touch. I would definitely stay here again. I like the area because the beach was more laid-back and less touristy but still close to Laguna Beach and Dana point There was a free trolley that picked people up next to the beach entrance across the street from the coast house which provided free rods all through Dana Point."
