"No one was there so I had to find a different place to stay!! The property was unkept nothing like the pictures!!"

"It was very old and although the room was pretty clean, there was no lamp or clock and the box spring was covered in plastic which on one side was heavily stained. Outside the room, the parking lot was only partially paved, most of the parking curbs were askew or moved and there was other junk."

"We were not notified the facility was under renovations. Construction dust, trash and workers everywhere. Boxes and parts stacked. No place to check-in, just a box with a doorbell. Parking lot was mostly full of metal parts containers. It was a staging area for the construction. Nothing but dust, paper taped to the floor, boxes stacked. Holiday Inn no more. A simple notification. We were there for a funeral. "

"The property was clean and tastefully decorated. It was also well stocked with incidental toiletries to include toothbrush kits, although I did not need to use any of the supplies the host provided. I used one towel as a floor-mat and showered with my own towel, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I only had one very minor issue with a mechanical squeak coming from the A/C unit which I solved by turning off the oscillation function. I passed this info on to the host and I'm sure they will address it for future guests. The shower had a nice stream of water which quickly warmed up, and the bed was very comfortable for either sitting or sleeping. Since the price was approximately 1/2 of what the Holiday Inn Express or Hampton Inn were charging, I have only praise for this location. It is located south of town, but roughly in the middle of everything and only takes about 5 min to get to any of the attractions in Alpine. It is roughly 108 miles from Big Bend National Park, which is an easy drive. BEWARE of Alpine law enforcement, they can be very nit-picky about speed or other Texas Road Code enforcement. Totally enjoyable stay, would repeat 100%"
