"My two children and I had a great stay at Davis Mountain Inn. Elena was extremely kind and hospitable. Room was clean and it had everything we needed. My kids enjoyed the patio deck and the view was amazing. I was a little disappointed that I wasn’t able to experience the hot breakfast that all the reviews I read talked about (which was the reason I booked here) but they had a good continental breakfast with a nice selection that my kids enjoyed so overall my experience here was good."

"We enjoyed the property, great location and dog friendly. McDonald's Observatory was 20 minutes away, a state park that was only few minutes away. It was everything we needed with plenty of room."

"Great peaceful place that our family thoroughly enjoyed! Our unit was much more spacious than the photos so we had lots of room. It also had everything we needed to feel right at home! We loved being in nature with animals and all but also still very close to town! We will definitely be back!"

"If you're looking to escape the crowds and enjoy the quiet beauty of the desert and unbelievable night sky viewing, this place is for you. The home is very old but inside has been nicely updated, and the covered porches on all sides were a nice touch. We will definitely stay again if we find ourselves in Fort Davis."

"Great location under the Milky Way sky. Access to Balmorhea and McDonald Observatory lovely drive. I love how the three rooms are separated for privacy. We played records, played cards, enjoyed the comfortable living room and ample kitchen. There are spaces all around the yard to hang out. I would absolutely stay here again. Looking at all the art in the home is a fun museum in itself."
