"⭐⭐ Disappointing stay — facilities not worth the price
Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with my stay. The hotel feels very dated and considering the price, I expected a much better standard of accommodation and facilities. There were also several issues with the room. The ground-floor window would not lock, which was concerning from a security point of view. The shower-to-bath setting didn’t work, and the bathroom extractor fan could not be switched off. It was extremely loud and kept...

"We had a lovely nights stay at The Bell Inn. Room was comfortable and a good size, staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately they were out of Roast Dinners on the evening we were there but there was plenty of other choices on the menu. The portion sizes were very good and the food lovely. There's a good breakfast choice, of continental and cooked options.
The place is great for walking into the town or out along the canal. There is a carpark on site or free places just along the next street...

"The room was beautifully decorated, very clean and with all the expected amenities.
There were no staff on site (the key is left in a lock box). I stayed on Monday night, the restaurant is closed on Mondays (hence no interaction with staff).
Unfortunately, I did not sleep very well at all due to the loudness of a generator which kept me awake all night. It felt as if I was sleeping inside a helicopter.

"Wonderful accommodations in a most beautiful part of our world. The building is very old and this is not perfect. For us it was perfect. An excellent breakfast each morning and dinner and pints in the evening. Plenty to see nearby. We look forward to visiting again."
