"My sister and I stayed at the hotel 4th June on arrival we were greeted by reception staff who were very friendly and helpful after check in we went to our room and it was very pleasant after going to see a show we came back for a relaxing drink before bed again bar staff very friendly we then retired to our room for bed and that is where we were let down with a bang if you have arthritis then the bed is not for you so hard it was very uncomfortable so didn't not have a good night's sleep however breakfast was very good and check out is at 11am which gives plenty of time overall a good experience"

"Fabulous one night stay at the Parkgate. The hotel is immaculate and our room which was upgraded was equally as fabulous. Location is amazing, close to everything Cardiff has to offer and whilst we were visiting from Cardiff, I’d recommend this to anyone travelling to the city! Spa facilities were incredible, small but well appointed and very relaxing with wonderful views out over the city and beyond. Best thing though were the staff. From the front desk, to restaurant staff, to the cleaners who quickly came when I accidentally smashed a glass in the room. Everyone went above and beyond to make your stay special and welcoming."

"Check-in was quick and efficient, and the staff were very friendly throughout our stay. Although the restaurant was not particularly busy, our food arrived only lukewarm and our drinks were initially forgotten. The meals tasted more like pre-prepared frozen food than freshly cooked dishes. As a result, we chose not to dine in the restaurant again during the evenings. I did not have breakfast myself, but my partner said it was good value for the price. Our room was spacious, very clean, and well maintained. Towels were changed daily when left on the floor. However, the shower gel appeared quite watered down. One drawback was the lack of a quiet area to work or take private phone calls. I was directed to a space behind the lifts, but it was still too noisy for a confidential conversation. The hotel advertises limited parking, but there were always plenty of spaces available whenever I returned. Overall, this hotel is a good choice for a short leisure stay in the area, but it is less suited to business travelers who need quiet spaces for meetings or calls."

"I liked the bathroom. No ramps in front of hotel for luggage or accessibility for strollers or wheelchairs.Main entrance revolving door broken. Reception desk lacked privacy. No water in room or in reception area for weary travelers. Was not directed to carts for luggage."
