"Lovely hotel, staff on arrival and in the restaurant were amazing and very focused on the details, food was amazing in the sorting room for the evening. Breakfast had a good selection although a bit disconnected… room was really noisy as it was about a party in one of the function rooms, when I told reception they said well it was Halloween, this is not the response I expected having paid £300 for the night …there was no apology for the noise experienced or any offer made, most disappointing."

"Great stay at St David's. Fresh lobby area. Welcoming staff. Super clean and comfy room with balcony. Excellent restaurant."

"Room was small but very clean. Toiled was too close to the sink. Great location and the staff were great!"

"My room was clean, spacious and comfortable. I appreciate a kettle and hairdryer that are not directly wired to the mains and can be moved. Having stayed at other hotels in Cardiff this is one I would return to."

"Arrived early as we were going to a matinee show in the Millennium centre. Although our room wasn't ready there was a place to store our belongings safely. Staff were very helpful and the breakfast is amazing."

"Hotel located in a very convenient location for shops restaurants and bars staff very helpful room was great Browns restaurant and bar also very convenient"

"Great location, close to restaurants, shops & cafes. Very clean & spacious room with lovely bathroom. Beautiful sea view close to pier. Plenty of street parking behind property."

"Very centrally located and with parking available. Room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were helpful and the facilities were good. An excellent place to stay."

"The room had a strong smell of body odour and I could hear everything from the room next door."

"Walking distance to the bay and town was really good, 10-15 minute flat walk. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The parking on site was a great help. Rooms were a good size, clean and nicely maintained. The toilet was very low! The lift was a problem as it would not go down to ground floor unless someone was on the ground floor wanting to go up."

"Me, my mum and my teenage daughter stayed for one night and we really enjoyed our stay here. The location is excellent. The staff were friendly and the room was comfortable, very spacious and clean for two of us in a twin. There is no elevator, so they changed our room straight away to being on a lower floor for my mum. The front desk has someone there 24 hours which was great as we could come and go whenever and didnt need to worry about coming back late after the theatre. The earlier check in...

"I stayed at the Angel hotel for a few days over October half term with my husband and children (7and 10). I have many good things to say about it. Firstly the location is perfect for a city break. It is moments from the castle and city centre which makes a visit to the area so easy. Cardiff has so many attractions it’s perfect for a family break. The staff we met there were all lovely and so helpful - from the friendly receptionist, breakfast staff and housekeeping. We were always treated with...

"Staff only on site between 9&5. Good luck if you arrive early or late. Room did not have drinkable water. Had to go to first floor for drinking water Bathroom had not a single hook for towels or toiletries"

"Tired and dated room. Air con wouldn’t turn off"

"Good breakfast and helpful staff"
