"This property was a bit different with nice quirky rooms. Not huge but well arranged and comfy. The staff were exceptionally good, very helpful and friendly. The continental breakfast was not too vast but had everything I like. We especially enjoyed the filter coffee which we prefer to the machines. The honesty lounge with tea, coffee and various other delights was a great idea and well used. A great overnight stay for us."

"A great place to stay in the heart of Cardiff. This is top notch luxury and what great beds and a fantastic sleep, I didn't want to leave. The food is good, but as with all buffet breakfasts don't go at the end as the food will be mostly cold. Bain maries do a fair job but it's not like getting the meal cooked to order. The facilities are great, but beaware that the Spa is NOT included in the room rate and this is an extra £32pp Mon-Thurs and £42pp Fri-Sun. Like good coffee? Go outside...

"The bed was two single beds we didn’t know everytime we moved the bed it will separate, the car parking was shocking too not enough room to park the car nor reverse out, and checking out was early too"

"Room was clean and modern and good size for one person……wonderful location close to Cardiff castle and city centre….. beautiful big park close by…..excellent location with the National Express depot 5 minutes away for transfers to London airports or Swansea…. Pub itself and surround on the premises were run down and dated….. needed some money spent to tidy it up…."

"Room was small but very clean. Toiled was too close to the sink. Great location and the staff were great!"

"Excellent hotel with professional staff. Clean, spacious and well designed. Breakfast waiters are hard working and friendly. However the breakfast buffet is not up to standard. No decent bread after 8:45am, hot buffet dry and crisp. Not good. Still my favourite Cardiff hotel."

"The free parking was exceptionally large."

"Room fine. Contact lenses dried out on windowsill. But it’s fine for 1 night. View of stadium good."

"Walking distance to the bay and town was really good, 10-15 minute flat walk. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The parking on site was a great help. Rooms were a good size, clean and nicely maintained. The toilet was very low! The lift was a problem as it would not go down to ground floor unless someone was on the ground floor wanting to go up."

"Me, my mum and my teenage daughter stayed for one night and we really enjoyed our stay here. The location is excellent. The staff were friendly and the room was comfortable, very spacious and clean for two of us in a twin. There is no elevator, so they changed our room straight away to being on a lower floor for my mum. The front desk has someone there 24 hours which was great as we could come and go whenever and didnt need to worry about coming back late after the theatre. The earlier check in...
