"They claimed to be an air-conditioned hotel but our AC did not work and several other guests that I spoke to also had non-functioning air conditioning. We stayed for three nights because the conference was nearby and there was no effort to repair any of the guests' units. It felt like this is their scheme. Charge for AC rooms but only apologize when they don't work. When we requested a partial refund for the lack of AC, they ignored the request."
"Great location to all sites in Basel, staff helpful in finding fun spots, superb breakfast with beautiful room and delectable choices. Choice of wine was fun"
"Prettig hotel met frisse groene kleuren vlakbij het treinstation. Het zit met nog twee andere hotels in hetzelfde pand dus het is zaak om de juiste receptie te vinden, maar het personeel is zeer vriendelijk. Wij kregen spontaan een upgrade van onze beide kamers. Er zit een bar bij die mooi is ingericht, maar de drankjes zijn dan wel behoorlijk prijzig."
"Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing, particularly regarding safety and customer service.
Throughout our stay, we experienced repeated electrical failures, accompanied by loud bangs and visible sparks coming from the bathroom light. Alarmingly, my friend was showering when one of these incidents occurred, posing a serious potential safety risk.
Although we were informed that maintenance work was taking place, we received no prior warning about the electricity...
"The staff was excellent - helpful and knowledgeable. The buffet breakfast was perfect - a great way to start the day. it is also nicely located in the city."
"Convenient location next to tram station. The air conditioning and the free coffee were very much appreciated. The staff were helpful and friendly. Small room, but it was clean and quiet."
"Quick overnight before an early flight out of BSL. Front desk was friendly and helped schedule our ride for the morning. Free airport shuttle was on time and honestly a blessing. Room was small but served its purpose and was comfortable."
"We scheduled an extra day to spend some time in the area. We were able to use the free local bus system that stopped right across the street from the hotel."
