"The castie hotel is absolutely gorgeous! Wonderful bedroom , very convenient for popping out with the dog . Staff were welcoming and helpful. Unfortunately the guest WiFi was not working and we were not told . We were unable to contact family, complete important legal tasks , or watch the tv. The ‘ superior’ menu food was very disappointing "

"Room was ok Stairs case to room was a tight spiral staircase Food was great Noise from wedding part till gone 01:30 Appreciate they was celebrating but others was also staying there also Contacted reception told them sink was cracked and when used water leaked on the floor when my wife told them this was told yes that’s been reported before. Nice Quirky castle just a let down on stay due to state of bathroom needs a good clean and new toilet seat and new sink"

"Overall, my stay was a pleasant and straightforward experience - the room was comfortable, everything was in order, and the check-in process was smooth. However, I was quite disappointed to be disturbed by housekeeping early in the morning. As this was a one-night stay and it was well before check-out time, the visit was entirely unnecessary and caught me (and the family) off guard. Being woken up unexpectedly is frustrating at the best of times, and the manner in which staff knocked, and used their key to open the door, was abrupt and rather rude. I'd kindly ask that housekeeping schedules take into account the length of a guest's stay - a single-night booking really doesn't require a morning visit, particularly so early. I hope this feedback is useful, as it's the only thing that put a dampener on what was otherwise a very agreeable stay."

"Very very friendly staff. All were excellent and very helpful. Great location. Very fair price. Tidy hotel. Decent free breakfast included. Only downsides: No ev chargers (not the end of the world as metrocentre is nearby and has plenty) No AC in the room Carpark could get quite full and didnt seem the most secure My biggest pet peeve is the lack of power sockets at both sides of the bed. Not the only hotel i’ve stayed at with this issue! I just have no idea who decided to design hotel rooms like this. Overall very useful stopover for a trip to Scotland."

"Room was cold so we put on the a/c. It blew cold air continually. We thought it would eventually blow warm air. At 3am my husband was so cold we decided to leave for home. The checkout lady told us we should have gone to her as it’s controlled at reception. Would have been good to know this."

"Just off a66 Close by local amenities Plentiful car parking Excellent facilities and accommodated a early arrival Superb carpets , curtains and bedding Breakfast was a delight with a particular shout out to the orange juice"
