"Only a 10 min walk from the train station. Easy to find. Good sized rooms and clean. Bed a bit small, soft and sunk to the middle but fine for one night. Great breakfast."

We also got 50% off the menu in the chez mal restaurant using the fork app. Lovely food but very pricey without the discount. Would definitely stay again if the price was right. "Beautiful hotel with an amazing old world feel. Our room was decorated/furnished in keeping with the castle and was very clean and comfotable. Wandering through the castle and court yard is highly recommended to soak up the whole atmosphere. An added bonus for me was to meet Lady Poppet - Lumley Castle's resident cat ❤️ She and the staff were all very welcoming and helpful. "
