"The property and room and staff were perfect ….. but …. A herd of elephants arrived at 2am in the morning above me as I imagine it was another family room and I was subject to every movement until 4:30am . No sleep which kinda defeated the whole object of the stay and ruined the next day as was on business !
Very very very selfish ! Or very bad insulation / flooring above ! "

"Had a great stay at the Royal Whitby. Wonderful views of the abbey and harbour. Easy to walk to the harbour and the abbey if you want to try the 199 steps. Lots of great seafood restaurants nearby. A stop in the Whitby tour bus outside too, which will take you to the abbey if you don't fancy the walk"
