One of the highlights of our trip was that our kids took surfing lessons with the owner—they absolutely loved the experience and are already talking about coming back! We traveled with our 17-, 20-, and 24-year-old children, and every single one of us had an amazing time. "Awesome location - literally steps from the water, you can see the tide come in from the balcony and hear the ocean from your room (& smell the sea air too). Well equipped little cabin room with functional kitchen and fridge. Had some power and water outages the first couple days, and the room gets a bit hot in the afternoons - sort of like a camping/cabin experience but right on the water with some jungle behind you. Host very friendly responsive, tap water is clean for drinking, and area is very safe. Bring water shoes/reef booties. Easiest town is Playa Negra 15min up the beach for a few shops."
