"I called the hotel at 2pm to ask what time check in was at the gentleman that answered Stated that it was at 4 pm he then took my number and said be would call as soon as the room was ready.he never called. Went to the hotel at 4 pm to check in and the rooms were still not ready. We rented a hotel so we can shower and change to get ready for a wedding we were attending at the Hilton across the freeway that started at 5pm so we just had to go to the restroom of a gas station to change and freshen up after our 7 hour car ride. So then I came back at 8 pm to check in. When I pulled up to the lobby it was under construction and there were very little visible sign showing were to check in. I then informed the manager about the inconvenience and she stated she would waive the $13 resort fee but she never did. Never staying here ever again to top it off after checking in my room and bringing my luggage in I found the room was dirty. At that point I didn’t feel like saying anything I just wanted to be in a room due to the eventful night I was having. On top of the closet I found a pack of cigarettes and a box of soda pop(empty) and a note with a phone number apologizing for hitting someone car. At check out I informed the front desk and she didn’t know what to do with the information I gave her. "

"Great pool and bar area. The Brew Pub next door is pretty good and if you want to go to the Carlsbad flower fields or Legoland you are right there."

"Overall a solid stay for the price. The room and common areas were clean and comfortable, and breakfast was good—nothing fancy, but definitely decent. The main issue was housekeeping: after a couple of days our trash was full and we needed fresh towels. We asked multiple times and were told it wasn’t available until later / short-staffed, and it wasn’t handled until near the end of our stay. If housekeeping responsiveness improves, this would be an easy repeat."

"We stayed in a pirate room. You can tell the hotel is not new but overall cleanliness was adequate. The kids absolutely loved it because the reality is this hotel is made for kids. So many kid focused things… The little club area was just too cute. Half of the arcade games were broken or not functional. The breakfast that was included was the most robust hotel breakfast I've ever had. What hotels include breakfast? It's usually a minimal continental breakfast and this was an entire buffet so it made it totally worth it. We got a deal on the Room through Expedia and we would definitely go back. We went on a weekday so the price was more manageable. I don't know if it's worth the high rates on the weekend but the convenience of being able to access the park early being right there and just all the kid focus touches was really cool. "

"The room with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen and separate sitting area was perfect for our family. The location worked easily to access the activities with our rental car. The staff was always friendly and helpful. "
