"We had an absolutely wonderful stay. Didn’t get to meet our host Tara, but that was because we only had one day to see the sights and had to leave early the next morning. Tara’s place was exactly as described, very clean, decorated so well that you felt right at home. Our only regret was that we didn’t have enough time. Would have loved to stay longer, as long as Tara would have us we would most definitely come back. Highly recommend this cute little place, great shower, beds and pillows were very comfortable. A very welcoming place, Tara takes pride in providing a wonderful stay away from home"

"The home was lovely! The only issue we had was the refrigerator was not keeping our food as cold as it should have and a few of our food spoiled. And the stove top didn’t work but we just ended up grilling a lot. Communication was easy and the hosts were very responsive. Overall , we had a pleasant stay. FYI- house does get warm during the day . Evenings were cooler with all the windows open to enjoy the breezes."

"This property is gorgeous.The pool was great. The view was beautiful. However I will be honest though the property was spotless and very spacious for me in my opinion there were things I experienced that I didn't like. First it is far from the nearest town and groceries/food. It is 5 miles to the highway in a 35 mph. The property has no AC which does make it uncomfortable. What i appreciated was that there were many fans to use. Be prepared to carry ur luggage up and down the stairs. Again this is a beautiful property and I do not discourage anyone from staying here but I just want to be honest because I like all the information. It was an easy process to check in. It was kind of wierd we had to put meat trash in the freezer because of bug infestation. Like I said this was a nice home but I wouldn't stay again. I feel everyone should try and make up their own mind with all the info."

"This was a wonderful property located on a cliff overlooking the Pacific ocean on the Hilo side of the big island. Check in was smooth and the space felt clean. I appreciated the management team texting me day of to let us know that everything was ready and make sure that we had everything. Everything was comfortable (esp the beds) and it was the perfect retreat. I particularly appreciated the heavy use of labels to explain what switch turned on which light. Do read the instructions for the house. I had missed the "no A/C" thing and it's been awhile since I lived without A/C. However, I didn't really miss it because the cross breezes were so soothing and the house cooled down once we opened up the windows / doors on either side of the house. Also, checkout is at 10 a.m. I thought it was 11 for no good reason, so please be smarter than me!The neighborhood seems quiet, nice, and safe. The house is about 5 miles from the main road, so make sure you pick up groceries on the way there. The Foodland is good, but the Mālama Market Pahoa was fancier. There are (invasive) coqui frogs chirping away in the underbrush that were very charming at night. The Hilo side isn't as developed as the Kona side, but there are still some standout food options. I'd recommend two sisters for really good mochi treats (call in an order ahead b/c there's a line), the Kuhio Grille for the best laulau I've ever had, and Temple Kitchen Bar for drinks and snacks (with vegetarian options)."
