"We had the ocean view room on the second floor. It was newly renovated, with a beautiful private bathroom and beautiful wood work throughout. We were a bit spoiled when we were there, since there were no other guests on our floor during our stay. The kitchen and living room were spacious and well equipped, and Josh was always there to help us if we needed it. We would definitely stay here in the future"

"This was amazing! Great staff, great location AND there's even a swimming hole (5 min walk, if that) with a waterfall! I've never stayed in a shared house before, but this one has spoiled me! It's close enough to be able to drive to all the good tourist spots. Oh, and hopefully you're there for the "big" farmers market on Saturdays. If I get back to the Big Island I'll be coming back here! Thank you for the great time!"

"The apartment was very comfortable and had great views. Snorkiling with turtles was just a five minute walk away and you could see the spot from the balcony. Apartment was clean and farily welll equipped and communications were good. We enjoyed our time there."

"We've stayed at a few of these condo units and this one was exceptional as it faced the ocean and not the street (OUCH!) Well appointed, great soaps (you know we're not picky, just appreciative) paper plates in case you just don't want to clean and still plenty of kitchen equipment for me to make a decent meal!"

"Great location in Hilo. Older property but interior in good shape. Had snorkeling gear (no fins) and basic beach chairs. I did not realize at booking time it was not air conditioned. There were several fans and ceiling fans. Great shallow beaches nearby.We had a great time. Only suggestion would be better instructions on how to find lock box with keys."

Restored Historic Mansion with Modern Amenities Steps to the Beach!

"This historic mansion is one of the most well stocked VRBOʻs I have stayed at. We did not have to buy any spices, plastic Ziplocks, foil, first aid kits, wrap ... just food and drinks. Beach chairs, beach towels, umbrellas, you name it, they had it. Mosquito repellent and bug spray in case there was an unwelcome bug in the house. The property is clean, quiet and has lots of room for guests to sit and enjoy drinks and food. The two twin rooms do not have air conditioning but the ceiling fans made these rooms comfortable. All of the other rooms do have air conditioning. This rental was clean and welcoming, the host left snacks, coffee, tea and Emergen C next to the coffee maker. Bathrooms were clean and spacious. It was so nice to sit on the back lanai with our cups of coffee and tea and listen to the frogs and the rain. But it is Hawaiʻi so we saw an occasional B-52 here and there. This home is close to two of the most beautiful beaches ever, one is a 3 minute walk from the home. We had 12 people, two large vans and we very much enjoyed our week here. Highly recommend!"

"Perfect for our larger group of four families. Location across from the beach is ideal. We enjoyed coffee on the large deck in the mornings while the kids went across the street to snorkel. The host was always available to answer any questions immediately. Highly recommend this location and host!"
