"Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Extra pillows and towels requested were brought to room quickly. Appreciate being greeted by staff upon entering property. A smile goes a long way. No open breakfast like before but they do give a coupon for $10 off sit down breakfast at restaurant. Great views of Mauna Kea!"

"It was an absolute joy staying here. The property was like a zen garden. The neighborhood was very peaceful and it was super easy to find the place. ( I found it in the dead of night during a rain shower) Most everything you need is provided, slow cooker, silverware of all varieties, cups and mugs, small fridge, soap and shampoo, cutting board and butcher knife and other convinces. The bed was super comfortable if you like soft which I do. The outside porch was a great place to eat and do yoga but you have a table and enough room inside the cozy studio to do the same. I had lots of company for my meals as well although they kept tryimg to sell me GEICO insurance (just kidding)The staff was friendly and has lots of insight into the area with many connections to help make the most of your stay. What else can I say this place was lovely and I am most certainly going to stay here again. Please definitely consider staying here if not in this unit then one of there other many units on the property. "

"Home was amazing! If we could give it 10 stars we would. Stayed with family for a wedding. We all had different arrival dates but as soon as each party arrived at the home, they were in awe. We mostly enjoyed hanging out in the back patio, doing some bbq and just appreciating the house.There was something for everyone to do from the board games, the gym, even just lounging in front of the tv with the surround sound and more. Washer & dryer were a plus. Host was very responsive. Thank you Tony! My family and I have all agreed that this would be our forever home in Hilo!dommoseespeciallyen"

"This little cottage was perfect! It was super clean, had everything we needed, comfy beds, nice linens, fresh flowers and character. The owners put a lot of care into the decor and comforts inside the cottage. Everything worked fine and was as expected, if not better. Loved the two bathrooms off the bedrooms for our teens.The grounds need a ton of work that I'm sure is overwhelming for the owners. There is so much history hidden in that jungle! From mossy stone pathways to no where to overgrown specimen trees that were once prized, the grounds were amazing yet left us with a sense of mystery. Would have loved to have a write up on the property's history in the cottage to know more, as the VRBO historical description is not easily found. I know if we stayed longer the owners would have graciously given us more history, but we were so busy. Great setting for a novel!The coqui frogs at night were amazing to fall asleep to, but the roosters doodling at our window called for ear plugs (supplied by owners). There were many unhealthy cats on the property that needed some care, but also added to the mystique of the place. We could hear the wild pigs squealing at night but never saw one on the grounds. And we tried to adventure around the property but the spiders were too numerous for my comfort, something that is seasonal.Overall a great visit, close to Volcano National Park and Hilo. The cottage was comfortable and the property was intriguing. Mahalo!"

"This house is massive. It’s conveniently located and had everything our family was looking for. The yard and pool were great for the kids to play. There were plenty of rooms and everything was very clean and well maintained. The indoor hot tub was unique and a cool feature. Check in and out was easy and we would definitely stay here again. "

" This house was great for our family trip to Hilo. We had 2 adults and 2 kids, one kid slept on a pull-out couch in the living room and was very comfortable. The house was very nice and clean. The hosts were communicative and answered any questions we had promptly. The house is a little outside Hilo, but it was an easy drive and is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood. We would highly recommend this house for a family looking for a nice, comfortable, safe place to stay in the Hilo area."
