"The room was perfect for our family of 3. While it was very hot and there is no AC the window in the evening with a fan helped a bit. Out of the main area but a short walk. Excellent fresh breakfast options."

"Lovely apartment in a historic building, ideally located just outside the city centre, but within easy walking distance of all places of interest in York. Nice touch of leaving a bottle of bubbly in the fridge - a good sign that the hosts are attentive. The apartment itself is well furnished and equipped, and really does feel like a home from home. "Really great hotel with so much attention to detail. Record players in the room and a huge selection of records is a really nice touch. The Radio was on when we arrived to our room and the Pantry is generous & a really unique touch. The outdoor beer garden was a great place to enjoy an afternoon drink, and family friendly for our five-year-old to join. The hotel was located a short distance from the Bootham Bar entrance to the city centre and conveniently located near other amenities."

"Be aware that the Victoria Cloisters apartments are in a totally separate building. This was not clear when booking with Expedia and we heard similar from other guests who had also expectes to stay in the hotel. Only because we paid £140 per night do we have the following complaints. The shower head was broken and did not stay in place, and the threat of being charged an extra £25 if we didn't wash up two glasses, one mug and a spoon, and throw away our tea bag in the bins outside, left a bad...

"Such an amazing stay. Check in was easy and super friendly. Great communication and WiFi was great. Loved our room and the fresh milk For my coffee in my room was a bonus. Didn’t have breakfast but looked amazing and did not need to use car park but there looked like plenty of spaces which is rare in York. Loved this place and will definitely come back"
