"Lovely property just a short walk into the centre of Bourton on the water, though beware there is a very steep hill to climb when walking back. Very spacious. Lounge and open plan kitchen could do with a bit of an update. Fabulous views across the country side and so many different species of birds to view from the very large window in the lounge. Owners very kindly left binoculars and a bird book. Extremely quiet setting. Stayed Friday to Monday and it was a really lovely break. "

"We arrived to find the main restaurant was being refitted after a major flood from a burst pipe but the staff coped well and it didn't impact are stay at all. In general the hotel needs a bit of TLC but the bed was clean and comfy which was all we really needed for a night."

"I spent three nights at Middle Gable cottage. It is perfectly situated in Bourton-On-The-Water. There are many places to eat within just a few minutes walk. A supermarket is also just a short distance away so it was possible to stock up on milk and food to settle into the cottage for the stay. The cottage is clean and comfortable. There is a lovely living room with a television to relax in at the end of the day, plus a very nice kitchen. There is the choice of either a shower and toilet downstairs, or a bathroom upstairs. It is in a quiet area and has a very pretty garden. The cottage dates back to 1650 and has so much character. There is underfloor heating in the living room so you are warm. If you don't have a car, I would advise the nearest train station is Moreton-On-The-Marsh then pre-book a taxi to the cottage (the train station doesn't have a taxi rank). Alternatively there is a bus service you can use. I would highly recommend booking Middle Gable to anyone considering it. It is a lovely cottage and made for an ideal visit to the area."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay. The hosts were very welcoming and quite humourous. Our room was very comfortable with a nice view over the garden. Breakfast was delicious and there was lots to choose from. In less than 5 minutes walking, we were in the centre of the village surrounded by pubs and restaurants . It was a great experience"

"We had a wonderful time at the Luxury Period House in Burton-on-the-Water. Three siblings and our spouses, it was the perfect house and location for our family trip to visit England. The house had a great kitchen and living/family room where we could all relax, and the town was at our doorstep! We enjoyed visiting the many quaint Cotswold towns, walking the loop from Burton-on-the-Water to upper and lower Slaughter, visiting Warwick Castle and Shakespeare's home town of Straford-upon-Avon, etc. Burton-on-the-Water was lovely, particularly in the mornings and evenings when the tourists weren't visiting the towns, with many bakeries, pubs and restaurants and shops. We will definitely be back, and look forward to staying in this wonderful Period House again."
