"The hotel is situated just a couple of minutes away from the Cathedral and the Commandery so is perfectly placed for a visit to Worcester. The hotel is also on a road with some beautiful historical buildings.

"Staying on db&b basis for one night to break a journey, my expectations were not high. However I was wrong! The very ancient pub is just by the Abbey and it is welcoming and our room was very clean if a bit dated. Bath & shower worked well (loads of VERY hot water!) and the bed was comfy. Electrical points in odd spots, but probably practicalities dictated.
Dinner was a restricted choice from the full menu but cooking and ingredients of real quality. Very good french onion soup: obviously home...
