"You get what you pay for. This is perfect if you’re looking for a cheap place to stay and you only want to use the hotel to sleep in at night. The room was tiny, bed slightly comfortable and felt like a small double. TV was tiny and basically on the ceiling. But for the price you really can’t complain, as long as you are expecting to get what you pay for. If you’re looking to spend more time in your hotel and have all the extras with a bar, room service, massive room - then this isn’t for you. But for our purpose it was perfect, we just wanted somewhere cheap to drop the bags off while we explored Manchester and to sleep in at night. Nothing was dirty or old. Would highly recommend. "

"Location is a little bit out of the city centre but was great for us as we were visiting the co-op live. Not far from the tram station and there were local places to eat from as well as at the hotel. Drinks prices were a little steep but i suppose that’s city living. Room was great, plenty of space etc. Only issue we had was the signal on the tv didn’t let you watch much on freeview so had to find one that worked to fall to sleep to. Staff were absolutely fantastic and welcoming."

"Beautifully converted late 1800s building. The rooms were spacious with very high ceilings. Probably 18 feet high. The Refuge restaurant had excellent food and lots of different choices. The Sunday Roast was delicious. Breakfast was a large buffet including all of the typical “full English” items along with many other options. Highly recommend "
