"Staff were lovely and always very welcoming and friendly but the room was not very nice at all. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the road noise into the room made it very difficult to sleep. The carpets in the room felt very aged which were quite stained as well as the ironing board being dirty which made me hesitant to use it."

"Staff were lovely and friendly and keen to help. After booking a 'Junior Suite' for a birthday gift, I was a little disappointed by the size of the room. I am not sure what made it a suite as it looked like a small double to me. We were on the ground floor with the view of a car park which a prison transporter would regularly pick up and drop off. Beautiful building internal and out. Breakfast had everything you needed. Stored our bags after check out until our train. Great location for City Centre"

"Pleasant room, albeit quite dated and rough around the edges. No thrills, but clean, warm and basic amenities like tea, coffee, shampoo. Restaurant attached for breakfast, drinks and meals -> can also order room service from the full Hungry Horse menu which sounds useful, although we didn't use this"

"Was really looking forward to staying here! The grounds where beautiful and the staff where great! Rooms are very dated bathroom was like a Travelodge with posh toiletries. plug next to bed was some funny plug so have to leave phone other side of the room, small old tv. Bed was two singles pushed together not really acceptable when you paid for a king size bed. Seats in room very uncomfortable and have been wrecked by dogs. Overall do pay the money to stay here plenty of better hotels in the area and cheaper"
