"⭐⭐ Disappointing stay — facilities not worth the price
Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with my stay. The hotel feels very dated and considering the price, I expected a much better standard of accommodation and facilities. There were also several issues with the room. The ground-floor window would not lock, which was concerning from a security point of view. The shower-to-bath setting didn’t work, and the bathroom extractor fan could not be switched off. It was extremely loud and kept...
"AWESOME hotel! Great staff, rooms are exquisitely appointed with color and style. Beds are SUPERB: slept better in their bed than my own lol! Will be back!"
"Lovely hotel located just outside Tewkesbury with stunning views of the Malvern hills.
Rooms were well appointed with good facilities.
The bar area didn’t always have sufficient staff working,. Would have been good to have had more staff working"
"The Hotel was lovely, and very olde wordly. The Staff were very good in the main, but last nights pie crust was burnt, and there were no published prices for Breakfast, so to get our bill on checkout, and find that I was charged £16 for a sausage sandwich was a bit much, and there was no mention of a 10% service charge for Dinner at all."
"We had a lovely nights stay at The Bell Inn. Room was comfortable and a good size, staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately they were out of Roast Dinners on the evening we were there but there was plenty of other choices on the menu. The portion sizes were very good and the food lovely. There's a good breakfast choice, of continental and cooked options.
The place is great for walking into the town or out along the canal. There is a carpark on site or free places just along the next street...
"On arrival I was told I’ve been downgraded to a standard room after paying for a premium room. Pretty rude staff wouldn’t change your alter and just saying I will just take it off the bill at the end. That wasn’t the answer what the answer I wanted was I’m sure your room isn’t available, but we can upgrade you to Different room, ordered two £40 steaks meals most of it was Fat with about eight chips overall we won’t be coming back really underrated for what you"
"We stayed at The Cottage in The Wood for one night during a mini-tour of the UK. The hotel is unique, an amazing location and the room we had was generous and well appointed with lovely touches. We enjoyed the food very much - high quality menu, beautifully presented (including the excellent breakfast). It should be noted that whilst Expedia promotes the hotel as pet friendly - which it is from an accommodation point of view with a lovely blanket and other elements provided - unfortunately the...
