"The hotel was clean, room was quite comfortable. A continental breakfast was included but the food did not taste good at all. I don't think they used real eggs - they tasted fake (watery) and tasteless. The coffee was also awful. They did have fresh apples, muffins, OJ, instant oatmeal and DIY waffles. Convenient location and parking was good unless you were arriving late at night, which, in that case, be prepared to park in another property's lot and walk a distance to the hotel entrance....

"We booked a reservation online and it was confirmed, only to arrive at the hotel and be told that the desk attendant had cancelled it because she believed the hotel was full. We asked her to confirm and she rudely told us she was the only person there. When we inquired about different room types that may be available, she told us there would be a significant cost increase. She was extremely unhelpful and we ended up booking at another hotel. "

"I would have rated it higher except for the Manager Caitlin. Her attitude is of a correctional officer where the guests don’t have a choice where they stay. She should not work in the hospitality industry whatsoever, she’s rude, abrupt, and needs to realize guests have choices where we spend our money. She might have won the battle, but she definitely lost this war. I recommend to her that she should never speak to guests again, doubtful it will stick. Good luck, stay at your own risk. "

While this particular Coastal Inn & Suites is a renovated older Super 8, the staff make up for any of her "scars." The manager, David, amazing personality and very kind and respectful. The staff really do go above and beyond to ensure cleanliness and comfort. After getting in housekeeping for over 7yrs total, I tend to immediately check things others wouldn't think of. "The room was very dirty. The couch and office chairs were covered in stains. The table was dirty and have white stuff all over it and the floor was dirty. Thankfully, the beds, sheets, and blankets were clean when we inspected them. Unfortunately, I only took one picture of one of the chairs, but will add this to the review.
