"Check in procedure instructions were a mixed bag. Was told to call to get codes, but no one answered, and codes to enter had been sent earlier. Also, nowhere on website does it say that breakfast is included! That's great, but we had already prepared for no on-site breakfast (since it is advertised as a no-staff hotel)."

"The property feels like it SHOULD be amazing, but there's just a few things that made it just okay for us, and for others a nightmare. The most glaring issue is the check in process. The listing says you'll get an email with a code to check in but you will not get this if you book through Expedia or any other 3rd party sites. I messaged them on Expedia and they didn't respond when it was time to check in. I borrowed a locals phone and called the number, and was lucky enough that they answered...

"Cabin 105 has an unacceptable shower. The fact that the showerhead is not quite attached is less of a problem than the fact that the water can be adjusted as either scalding or freezing, but no happy medium. The wifi was wimpy. The cabin itself was sweet, though there were 4 of us adults, so it was incredibly cramped. It's in a beautiful area."

We weren't told until a couple weeks before our stay that a bus was required to reach the property. We were stunned to find that bus tickets for our family of four were almost TWICE as expensive as the $285 room we booked for a single night. "We stayed in room 6 upstairs. It's exceptionally easy to hit your head in this room due to the way the beds are positioned. Otherwise it is was a good stay at a lovely old guesthouse. The kitchen is well equipped."
