"Awesome location with Skógafoss Waterfall directly behind the hotel. Our room was located on the back side of the property so we had a view of the waterfall from our room. We enjoyed the hotel bistro. We only had an appetizer and dessert but both were very tasty. The breakfast included had a decent selection and we appreciated the coffee/tea station in the hall close to our room. My only complaints would be the walls must be pretty thin because there did seem to be more noise than some other hotels we stayed at. Also, we did not use the shower because there was a strong Sulfur smell due to the Geothermal hot water. I’m not sure I would stay more than one night but it is perfectly fine if you are exploring the coast and need somewhere to stay for a night."

"The room and bathroom are clean. Breakfast is good. Message Communication with the hotel staff is efficient although there is no front desk at the hotel. The waterfall near by is beautiful."

"Hostel rooms nice and bathroom down hall. Very clean and well kept. Very convenient location after day of exploring south coast before heading further east. Walking distance to Skogarfoss and museum. Quiet"

"Beautiful setting and simple clean accommodations. Check in was easy but make reservations early and connect with host at least a day prior for easier check in (those arriving late or made reservations that day had difficulties contacting host for lock box combination). extra bathrooms would be beneficial bathrooms busy in morning ( line -up) . Bathrooms and shower area very clean. Kitchen area well stocked with cooking utensils. This area was also very clean."

"great private black sand beach, walk distance to the ocean with nice ocean and mountain view. Breakfast is also good. Staff were helpful too. Horse will show up outside of your room window, don't be surprised by that😉"

"The property is in a very nice location, but it was kind of hard to get hold of personal at the property or even on the phone. Without the help from Expedia , we would never be able to get into our rooms."

"We booked this location last minute and didn't see the check-in email about needing a mountain bus ticket, or an atv to get to the property, until the last bus had already left. The staff, office, and Expedia were very helpful and gave us a refund for our room. We would like to come back some day and experience the volcano huts properly."
