Pros: private entrance to our room as well as through main reception area, good breakfast buffet included, cozy room. Cons: the shower is coated in black paint or material of some kind to emulate the look of a volcano. However, the black hides the fact that either mold or mildew is growing quite a bit in the shower and is not being by cleaned / maintained properly. Everything else was clean and lovely, but mold/mildew needs to be addressed in the shower. Also the hotel is about 10 miles outside of Vik proper - we thought it would be closer as the address said Vik.

Great place to stay in the south. 10 min drive to Vik, less to Reynisfjara beach. Marushka (the manager) was so sweet and personable. The breakfast was very good, with made to order eggs by Marushka. We couldn't get the TV going at night but honestly we were too tired from seeing the sights to care. Highly recommend this place 👍👍

Hidden Gem. Its hard to find hotels in the area. We stayed one night and found this location convenient since everything within Vik area was already booked or hard to find even when booking few months in advance. Not a lot of breakfast choices but that wasn't an issue for us.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the complimentary breakfast was excellent. The only downside was that the used coffee pods in the container hadn't been emptied by housekeeping and were already full when we arrived. I ended up disposing of them myself. Other than that, we had a pleasant stay.
